Nevaeh DeWeese '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nevaeh Emerson Renee DeWeese (and yes my initials spell NERD) and I am currently 14 years old and a freshman at Highland High School in Sparta Ohio. I am entering my 5th year of travel ball and also played 7th and 8th grade softball with the school. Softball is a sport I play all year around even playing fall ball. Soccer is another sport I played but gave it up for more time for softball, both games and practice. My dream is to go to a D1 school and play the sport I love. This sport has so many parts to it that you get it all, there is the team portion when you are in the outfield, the individual portion when you are up to bat and also the cheerleading portion when you are in the dugout and I love every bit of it. My travel team is the Central Ohio Pride 16U and we currently have a 3 hour practice every Sunday, the rest of the week I practice on my own or with my father. My parents built a 2400 square foot barn with pitching and batting lanes including pitching machines in our backyard. I practice out there as much as I can up to 5 times a week with the exception of a heavy homework night. I have both pitching and batting coaches that work with me in the barn weekly. I have been a straight A student since the 5th grade and I am taking accelerated classes on 3 of my subjects and currently have 100's in all my classes.
