My love for the game of softball began when I was about 5 years old and I was introduced to my first tee-ball bat and tee. At the time, I had already been introduced to several other sports, but softball was the sport that stuck. As I grew older, softball was always the thing I looked forward to and helped build my self-confidence. One of the highlights of my softball career was getting to be a part of the first Allen High School Varsity softball team who made playoffs in 13 years during my freshman year. But one of the most developmental part of my career so far was my freshman year, and not playing much at first for Allen’s Varsity team. This was a huge eye-opener for me, and that was one of the times that taught me that nothing will be achieved without a lot of hard work. During that season, I worked harder than I ever had, finally earning a start pitching in the first round of playoffs. I learned that you can achieve anything that you want to be by working hard.
Playing softball has built character, self-confidence and has taught me so many more important life skills, and my ultimate goal is to be the absolute best I can be on the field, off the field, in the classroom, and ultimately life. I strive to be my absolute best through hard work, good character, teamwork, sacrifice, and commitment; all things that I learned through softball. I cannot wait until I get the chance to play at the college level, and I will be working hard to get there. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
