Tee & Glove Work Personal Statement
My ultimate goal is to pursue my desired major, Communications, to become a sports broadcaster and interviewer. I aspire to be a collegiate student-athlete to be able to compete, learn, and grow as a softball player and person, mentally and physically. I would be an asset to any team because of my work ethic and positive attitude.I pursued competitive dance for six years, until I recently stopped to play softball full time. I am also enrolled and have maintained an “A” in the only AP class available for freshman, Human Geography, for the entire school year. I am a member of my high school’s Speech and Debate team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I am actually going to be an FCA leader as a sophomore next year. When I am not studying or training, I enjoy flying airplanes, riding horses, and playing the ukulele, drums, and guitar in my family’s country band, Island Texas. Thank you!

- Awards I was asked to take the SAT as a 7th grader for the Duke University program because I mastered my STAAR test in 6th grade. I was a member of my middle school’s National Junior Honor Society. I competed Congressional Debate at the Texas Capitol in December 2019. I am a member of my high school's speech and debate team. I was invited to take the PSAT as a freshman. I have maintained an "A" in the only AP class available for freshman, AP Human Geography.
- Activities I am a member of my high school’s Speech and Debate team, as well as my high school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I am actually going to be an FCA leader next year as a sophomore. I am very involved in my church’s youth group, and I am the drummer of my church’s youth group worship band. I enjoy playing the drums, guitar, and ukulele in my family’s country band, Island Texas. I also enjoy flying airplanes. I am taking lessons from my dad who is a pilot for Southwest Airlines. I also enjoy jumping horses. I’ve been taking lessons since I was eight years old.
