My goal is to go to a college that is a great fit for me personally and will prepare me for my career in a finance related field. Playing softball in college is an equal goal for me in that being able to compete against other athletes at the next level will teach me how to work harder than ever before to get ready for life after learning. I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old. My parents taught me how to play the game the right way and leave it all on the field at all times. I am a very smart softball player in that I prepare myself for the next pitch before it occurs whether I am throwing the pitch, hitting the pitch, or making the play defensively. I am an aggressive baserunner that takes advantage of opponent mistakes. I work very hard outside of practice by hitting the gym to gain strength, doing additional tee work, or asking my parents to do on field front toss. I work with a hitting coach to improve my performance. However the most important aspect of my softball life is that I can do all of this and still perform in the class room. Softball training and game preparation teaches me that working hard can get you to advance in life.
In my recently completed High School season for Division 1 Cedarburg High School, I was named First Team All Conference as an Outfielder as a Sophomore in a very talented North Shore Conference. We were runner up in our Sectional Finals before losing a close game. My personal mission is to do whatever it takes to get us back to the State Tournament that our school had been to in two of the last three years. That means more weight lifting at my gym. It means doing more arm care classes with my Velocity Softball Club to help me gain more throwing velocity. It means continuing to work with my hitting coach to gain more strength and exit velocity and even more consistency. I love the success so far, but that is not enough! I need to work harder to get my team to where we want to go!
