Ashley Clausing '21 Recruiting Profile

As a young girl I was very competitive and I had always wanted to play a sport, so my parents decided to sign me up for a slow pitch league. Little did they know, that slow pitch league would grow into one of my biggest passions. I tried many sports, but none of them have given me the satisfaction that softball does. It is the place that has taught me how to be a leader while also being a part of a team. I have been fortunate enough to be able to be a part of a program through my school that consists of great teammates along with the best coaches. Our team has been successful in past years, and there is still more to come. My high school career has taught me how to balance my athletics and my academics, and how to be successful on and off the field. My team has taught me how to develop self discipline and helped me grow as a person physically and mentally.

I can contribute a lot to your program whether it’s just needing a quick smile, or needing a strong leader. I’m looking for a school that can help me feed my passion of not only softball but to help me become successful in my years forward as a person and as a member in our society. I am really looking forward to get to know everybody and to be a part of their team.
