Aloha!
My name is Lishae Scanlan and I am a 5'10 small forward/ guard. Currently I am a senior at Pearl City High School. I believe that basketball and all sports bring opportunities, relationships, and builds character. Growing up active in sports I've witnessed the many opportunities and ways it has positively impacted student athletes. Seeing others benefit from their passions and doing the things they love made me want to do the same.
I'm a big believer in setting goals for myself. Going into my sophomore year I had a goal and I'm happy to say that it was accomplished. During my junior year my team and I not only made it to states but took first place. Along with that I was blessed by being given the most outstanding player award. Being able to lead my team and have all the work we put in be recognized really pushes and motivates me to want to achieve more. Winning first place in a tournament is great but I believe there is still much more to be done. Just like my coaches tell me there is always room to improve and grow.
Not only is basketball a game but it is a gateway for student athletes like myself. My love for the sport is unreal and to have an opportunity to compete while going to college would be a blessing. In the end, what I want out of basketball is to obtain a quality college education while being able to play at the next level.
