I have been playing basketball since Kindergarten and have been passionate for the sport since I first picked up a ball. At a young age, I remember going to see a Big Ten Women's college basketball game and since then I have dreamed of playing college basketball. I look forward to every opportunity to improve my skills and get to the next level.
I have played at least one level up on most of my teams growing up including most of my AAU teams. I have been a starter on my high school varsity basketball team since I was a freshman and I am a team captain this year as a sophomore. I have always worked on being a complete, all-around player offensively & defensively and I have received many MVP awards and several All-Tournament team awards. I am a team-focused player that has always tried to build up my teammates. My strengths include ball-handling, shooting, my court awareness and I prefer to guard the opponent's best player.
As a three sport athlete, I have good time management and I've learned to balance my busy schedule with my school work. Academically, my work ethic carries over from athletics as I try in every aspect of learning. I was Valedictorian of my eighth grade class, received gold in the state science fair and was nominated for the Broadcom Masters award, which awards the top 10% in the nation. In high school, I have achieved outstanding grades and the high honor roll with my full load of Honors and AP classes.
I am looking for a college where I can continue to grow and achieve my academic & athletic goals and dreams of playing basketball.
