Being a collegiate athlete was not always something I thought I would have the opportunity to do. I always had this perception that in order to play in college you had to be perfect. I have come to the realization that it is not the perfection that makes these athletes stand out from the rest, however, it is the improvement that comes from the imperfections. I am not going to sit here and say that I will not make mistakes because that would be impractical. I will, however commit to learning from my mistakes and not only listening but executing the proper adjustments that need to be made with the help of the coaching staff. I know whichever team I end up on I will dedicate time and effort in order for us to be successful by whatever means necessary. I want to expand my athletic career to college and in doing so hope to improve not only my game, but my academic career as well. Being a student athlete has forced me to really manage my time and focus on what is important. With that being said, my talent is something that will get me noticed, but my drive and hard working mentality is what I truly want coaches to see in me. I want to be an example for young aspiring female athletes and show them what it means to be a college athlete both on and off the court.
