I love basketball. I really enjoy competing, winning as a team, and getting better every day. My coaches and teammates tell me that I play hard and smart. That's probably because I have been playing with my older brothers for years, and because I played with boys in rec leagues in NYC until I was 12 years old. People are always focused on scoring, and I know how to get to the hoop and make shots, but style of play is very important to me: I love to pass, set great screens, move the ball and cut hard to create opportunities for myself and my teammates. I also love to rebound and I take pride in my defense -- I really do.
I am focused on schools with great academics. My high school is demanding, and I know how to manage my time. When basketball is over, I want to have a great education for the rest of my life. I want to attend a college where I can do both things well, and where my teammates are as also focused on being great on the court and taking care of business in the classroom.
