My name is Mya Venning and I am currently a senior at Kipp Nyc College Prep in the Bronx, New York. I am the captain and a starting guard on our basketball team. I am a well-round student-athlete who maintains a 4.0 GPA while taking honors and AP classes. I want to major in business and technology while getting the chance to play basketball. My love for the game allows me to have a competitive edge while also finding ways to better myself and better my craft. I have started on my varsity team since my freshman year and was able to win MVP for my last season. My will to score is one of my strongest qualities. I hold myself to a high level, constantly strive to improve, put in a lot of effort, and am willing to accept responsibility for my errors. Along with being a coachable player, I exhibit leadership both on and off the court. I'm hoping to possibly get the chance to continue playing basketball and to choose a college where I can succeed academically and athletically.
