I have been playing competitive basketball from a young age and I am unable to imagine my life without basketball in it. My biggest contributions are my hustle and energy because these are controllable factors that affect a team in a positive way. Additionally, a major aspect of my game is defense, as I focus on locking down the person I am guarding, and I do not back down from guarding a person who is significantly bigger than I am. I am always willing to take a charge during a game, because defensive plays like charges and steals can really change the flow of the game. On the offensive side, I like to be a playmaker, which makes me a pass first player and I like to work the ball in order to get a good shot for the team. If I am open, I will look to shoot a three or drive to the basket, but I always look to pass first. Furthermore, I am dedicated to my education and want to pursue academically challenging courses throughout my college career. I enjoy taking classes that push me to learn and grow as a student and I am particularly fond of the sciences as well as social studies. I hope to join a program that values my abilities while continuing to help me grow as a person and a player. Additionally, I want to be part of a community and a family that supports and positively motivates one another.
