As a three-sport athlete (basketball, volleyball and competitive dance), I know what it means to be dedicated and work hard. I have experienced the highest of highs, the lowest of lows and through it all I have experienced the pure joy of competition. Sports have taught me the value of time management, balance, and channeling my competitive drive to excel both in the classroom with a 92.8 GPA and as an athlete. I have learned many life lessons through sports including that sometimes the most transformational moments come from adversity and that channeling that energy in a positive way can create incredible growth and reward athletically and academically. I am extremely coachable and thrive on constructive feedback. I am not afraid to put in extra time and effort to make myself better. I have learned to be both a formal leader (three-time captain) and an informal leader to those around me. I have also learned to take my success on the court and give back to the community by volunteering over 50 hours a year at my local fire department. My passion is basketball. In addition to high school teams, I have been a part of Finger Lakes Fury, WNY Shock, and the Fairport AAU Basketball program where I played all positions. I plan to continue to play as a collegiate athlete as I pursue my degree in Engineering or Science/Technology. If possible, I would love to continue as a dual sport athlete by playing both basketball and volleyball. I am excited to take this next step and look forward to finding the right program where I can help the team succeed and where they can help me succeed.
