Outside of basketball, I put a high value on friends and family, and they have definitely influenced me and shaped me to be the person I have become. I have had friends with older siblings that played, and the game of basketball just really sounded interesting to me. Basketball has allowed me to tap into my competitive side. I really enjoy competing because It helps me grow stronger as a player, and is an overall learning experience. It has also helped me learn I need to have confidence in myself. It has allowed me to gain some by getting stronger with certain moves and watching myself through film as an example, get better and watch myself just do it instead of questioning it. My goals regarding high school is to graduate and earn an advanced regents diploma, and maintain an honor roll GPA. As far as college goals goes, I would like to achieve the highest degree I can in my field and find a school that’s a good match for me. Personally I believe I have multiple characteristics/ skills unique to me, to offer a college team. I think the most beneficial of mine is my versatility. The teams I have been on I was always one of the tallest girls, and my height could be used as an advantage in certain situations then but I have always been eager to move around more, and get more touches on the ball in the game and be moved around throughout. I personally feel my versatility as a player is one of my strong suits.
