2021 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Currently, I am a Junior at North Iredell High School ( ASEC ) in Olin, North Carolina. I have been have playing basketball since I was 8 years old. I started playing with city leagues every year then played basketball for my middle school team Northview IB ) which then continued into high school. I made the junior varsity basketball team my Freshman year at North Iredell ( being called up to Varsity after the JV season was over ) while also playing travel ball since I was in 7th Grade. Along with basketball, I also ran Cross Country and played Softball.
A few things separate me from other players. One is my size. I am 5-7 140 lbs but I have grit, I am personally motivated, and I am the fastest runner on my team. Another distinction that sets me apart from others is my perseverance to achieve goals. I will put all the necessary into achieving those goals. I love being apart of a team and I have the discipline and ethics to be a value add to any team. I always strive to motivate and encourage my teammates, both on and off the field.
I am not sure what I want to do in the future as far as career. My immediate goal is to continue to develop in the sports I participate in and continue to make good grades that would offer me the chance to go to college for the field I decide to enter.
