Taytum Poppe '22 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to obtain a degree in criminology and/or psychology while continuing to play basketball. I am an excellent candidate for your team because I am dedicated and hardworking on the court and off, and I am continuously honing my basketball skills. In high school I began my varsity career as a Freshman, was a starter, played on a traveling select team, and maintained all A’s. I have successfully continued these accomplishments throughout high school and am confident I will be able to excel academically and athletically throughout my college career, as well. It is also important that an athlete be a team player and be coachable. Since I have played for 2 high schools, 2 select teams, and have attended many basketball camps, I have learned to easily adapt to various coaching styles and techniques. I also have always been the player that constantly encourages my fellow teammates to strive to be their best and to relentlessly fight and play hard even if the outcome of the game will not be in our favor.
