My collegiate goals are to achieve a high level education, where I am challenged and faced with arduous tasks and workloads. I hope to be able to graduate with top grades and proceed to medical school where I can pursue my dreams. As far as being a good candidate, the coaches I have had so far have said I’m coachable, have a great work ethic, am dependable, and responsible. When I’m struggling during a game, I do not get down on myself, but rather take a deep breath and calm down, allowing myself to relax and get back in the game to play to the best of my ability. I’m also able to balance school and volleyball while still having time for myself and friends, even while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and around 12 hours of practice a week. Rather than putting all my focus on one aspect of my life, I make sure to be aware of my time and devote proper amounts to school and volleyball, allowing myself to better my skills academically and in volleyball.
