My golf journey started at the age of five, what began as bonding time with my dad quickly turned into a full time sport. We would spend hours at the golf range hitting countless balls every night until close. Nights at the golf range turned into weekends at tournaments and my passion for golf continues to grow.
My studious nature translates to the course, a good work ethic is the key to success both academically and athletically. Understanding the value of hard work, extra effort and perseverance has allowed me to achieve goals and experience positive results. As a current sophomore, I have played competitive golf for four years and am a member of my Ursuline High School Varsity team. Most recently I achieved first place at the Westchester County/Section 1 Girls Golf Championship at the Whippoorwill Club. It is an honor to hold the title of Section 1 Champion.
Although golf is both mentally and physically challenging, the feeling I get when I am about to tee off is unmatched. Golf challenges me on different levels, it forces my mind to analyze each course and each swing, it is not just physical talent alone. I practice with a very focused mind set, paying close attention to my short game through full swing. My goal is to achieve a golf scholarship to fulfill my dream of playing collegiate level golf. A competitive school that balances academics and athletics will aid me in reaching my full potential. I look forward to the opportunity to take my passion for golf to the next level.
