December 2021Personal Statement
At age 8, I started to play golf at a small scale camp in my town. I absolutely fell in love with the sport and asked my dad to get me lessons. By age 12 I was in tournaments for the Metropolitan PGA. I made my high school’s varsity golf team when I was in 7th grade at 12 years old. Being a junior in high school now I have accomplished so much in my 5 seasons of being on the team. This year, I am the head captain of my team. I have received the NYSPHSAA scholar athlete award 2 times. When I was in my Sophomore year, I received the MVP award through my school district for my team. Since I was a child, I have always dreamed of taking my golf to the next level and playing in college would be an absolute dream come true.
