As my 11th year of playing golf begins, I continue to show my inspiration and passion for golf. I believe I am a good candidate because I work hard academically and athletically. I continue to push myself to play better than I did before and to always stay focused. I am different from other recruits because unlike others I stay positive, have patience, and get along with others easily. Additionally, when playing golf, I always try to play better on the next hole in comparison to the last. When I feel I played badly on the last hole, I push myself to have a better attitude and not let it get to the best of me. I always try to not only be positive in myself but also in my peers. When they feel they could’ve played better, I always try to bring them up and not let them get frustrated. I don’t just strive for talent and perfection on the course, but also in the classroom. Academically, I have come a long way and have shown major improvement in my grades this year in comparison to last year. I continue to try my hardest and feel that when you have an optimistic mindset in anything, you will go farther in life with your achievements. My major goal is to come in 1st place in my division and in my overall season but also to play my best in tournaments, and golf outings. I aspire to play college golf and can’t wait to see what my future holds for my athletic career.
