Please allow me the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Gealy “Gigi” Lebron, class of 2026 gymnast at ASPIRE GYMNASTICS ACADEMY. I am a very determined and a goal oriented individual, excited to begin the recruitment process, to follow my dreams of competing at the collegiate level. Currently, I’m a sophomore attending Carl Schurz high school. I’m an IB student, holding a 4.2 GPA. Despite my challenging IB classes, I am actively competing as a gymnast. I just finished my second season of level 10. Some of my achievements include: 2019 - Eastern Qualifier, 2022-23 Jr National team Puerto Rico, 2023- National qualifier.
My motivation to excel in both academics, and gymnastics has been deep rooted, since a young child. As a future first generation college graduate, education has been a key focus for me. Knowing the hardships my parents faced, as well as witnessing all of the sacrifices they have made to ensure I have the best opportunities, drives me to go above and beyond in everything I do. Gymnastics challenges me in many ways which compliment my academic achievements. Physically, its one of the most challenging sports, and truly takes self-dedication to proceed and succeed, year after year.
As my commitment to gymnastics continued to grow, I always made a conscious effort to still excel in my studies, and find a healthy balance so I could thrive, and guarantee success in both of my passions. Attending a university would allow me to continue to nurture my academics and attend gymnastics training. I want to be able to look back at my parents in the stands, at every competition, making sure they see every single one of my achievements and proud moments. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon, and hope to have the opportunity to be apart of your program.
