I am attending Wilkes University.
College is the goal for every young athlete, but to go on as far as college is a lot of work. Some people believe they can show up to practice and they can make it, while others put in hard work outside of practice. As for myself, my life revolves around hockey and softball. I’ve grown up playing sports and I want to continue doing that in the future; for my family, for my coaches, and more importantly for myself. I want to take everything I’ve done and continue to apply it and go through college doing something I love. Not only am I committed to my sports, but my academics are a priority to me as well. I work hard in school every day and maintain a 3.9 GPA. It isn’t hard to encourage myself to do these things because I love going to school and learning. Not only do I enjoy school and various sports, but I’m very involved in politics and history. That’s why I would like to major in political science or history in the future. I imagine myself doing great things one day. This excites me more than anything. If I can go through life knowing I made an impact through school, hockey, softball, or even field hockey, I have accomplished one of my set goals and that’s what makes me happy. Hockey is a commitment I’m more than willing to make.
