I have been playing hockey since is was seven. I started out on a local house/travel team and moved to all girls AAA team (Syracuse Nationals) when I was 12. In addition to the Nationals team, I am also playing High School hockey.
I am currently a high honor student. I am focusing on secondary schools that will give me a solid education and at the same time, allow me to continue playing hockey. I am very interested in a career in the health/nutrition field. My long term goal is to be part of professional team's training community.
My favorite book is "Playing With Fire", written by Theo Fleury. I think this should be a mandatory read for all hockey players.
My greatest skill as a defenseman is anticipation. Anticipating where the puck will be - anticipating where my opponent will be. My primary position is defense, however, as the need has come up, I have also played forward.
I played Varsity Lacrosse as a Freshman and have recently taken up golf. I believe that both sports are a great way to keep up my hockey skills in the off season.
I am a dedicated player and rarely miss a practice and never miss a game. I have decided that my tag line under my Senior photo will be " I can't, I have hockey."
I hope that you will consider me as a candidate for your program.
