Something that makes me a good candidate for college are my perseverance and my ability to balance hockey and school. I feel that I do well with many things on my plate, including playing hockey and lacrosse pretty much all year around while maintaining my grades at school. Another characteristic the I feel makes me excel is being able to get along with my peers, teammates, and being a coachable player. I always have respect for coaches and teammates and being able to talk to and get along with many different types of people. Growing up playing on an all boys hockey team and being the only girl until I was 14 helped me learn how to get along with anyone. Overall, I think my perseverance, determination and coachability sets me apart.
