My name is Sarah Smyth and my goal is to play collegiate hockey. I started playing hockey at 5 years old. When I was 6, I played goalie for the first time and fell in love. Currently, I play prep hockey for the Portledge Panthers. We won the WIHLMA Championship the past two seasons. Last season I played for Team Long Island 16u AAA. This upcoming season I am playing for the East Coast Valkyries 19u AAA split season team. During the spring season, I am a midfielder and a co-captain on the school lacrosse team.
Academically, I excel in all subjects and currently have a 3.8 GPA. I am most attracted to history and biology. I also play trumpet in the school band. I am also a part of the inaugural Peer Leader Program at my school.
I am a no-nonsense kind of person. I do not procrastinate and I get my work done. I work hard to get better at everything I do and I always have a positive attitude. Playing hockey for so many years has taught me to be organized and how to manage my time efficiently.
I look forward to starting the recruitment process!
