Personal Statement

I started playing hockey when I was three years old. I've played boys hockey from the start and switched to an all-girls team when I was 15. I had played as an alternate on the girl's team a few years prior. I hope to continue my hockey career to the highest level I can. My goal is to make it onto the Olympic Team and play in college.

While I'm playing hockey I contribute with my defensive/offensive awareness, puck control, and hard shots. When I'm on the ice I hope to make my teammates and myself better hockey players.

Throughout the years I've been able to properly balance my love for hockey and my education. I've consistently been on the honor roll my academic career.  Finding this balance has been extremely important to me as it continues to build my character and helps me with my time management skills.

  • 2018 Legacy Selects Music City Showcase
  • 8/09/18 to 8/12/18
  • Gold Team CONGRATS -- your daughter is one of the 106 girls who made it into the Music City Showcase!! It is nearly completely full with only having 2-Goalie spots left open right now! Everyone else is being placed onto WAITLIST. I wanted to let you know that the webpage for the inaugural Music City Showcase is now up and running. There is a lot of useful information on here, so be sure and check it out (maybe bookmark it for future reference). All of the information, including a TENT schedule, rink location, showcase inclusions, a Q & A page and the list of NCAA coaches participating is on there. http://www.lgshockey.com/music-city-showcase Speaking of coaches - I have confirmed 3 additional coaches that will work the Showcase: Cara Morey, Head Coach Princeton University Jeff Giesen, Assoc Head Coach Minnesota State University Mel Ruzzi, Assoc Head Coach Providence College That brings us to a total of 11 coaches working the Showcase, including 2 Ivy League, the top-3 ranked teams and 6 of the top-10 ranked teams in D1 hockey! There are 2 teams from the WCHA, 4 Hockey East, 4 ECAC and 1 CHA. We will be adding 1 more school to work the Music City Showcase and there will be many more in attendance to scout! Have a great weekend everyone - and as soon as we get the hotel information we will send it out soon. This is high tourist time in Nashville, but our housing coordinator was able to negotiate a great rate for that time of year, including bfast and in close proximity to the rink facility (Predators Ford Ice Center)! Thanks for your support, so very excited about this event ~ kathy

  • Dear Section Camp Participant: On behalf of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association and USA Hockey, Inc., I’d like to thank you for your participation in the recent Section Development Camp. As you know, a committee of qualified USA Hockey coaches from a variety of levels instructed and evaluated players who attended the weekend during ADM style practices and scrimmages. These coaches rated all players that attended and ranked them by position within the appropriate birth year classifications. Based on your player rankings at the section level, I’d like to invite you to attend the NYSAHA District Camp to be held July 25th – July 29th, 2018 in Amherst, NY.

  • The Tiger Hockey School has just opened up our website for this summer’s camp registration. We are in our 16th year of operation and are considered the premier hockey school in the Rochester Area due to the fact that all on-ice sessions are run by the RIT coaches or other college hockey coaches. We pride ourselves on outstanding instruction. The RIT Coaches and Staff know what to teach, how to teach it and they have fun with the kids! This summer, the hockey school will be held in RIT’s brand new Polisseni Center which is one of the top college hockey arenas in the country. Kids will actually get a feel for what it is like to play in a big-time arena and hopefully dream of someday playing for the Tigers.

We maximize the student's potential as a hockey player, concentrating primarily on improving each individual weakness with the emphasis on repetition. Our staff of professional hockey educators are under the common belief that fun and hard work are the main components in the skill development process.
