Dear Coaches

My name is Angelina De Divitiis I am a high school senior graduating this term 2023 at Denis Morris High School. I was interested in earning a spot on the your team I was born in 2005. My height is 5’’11, and my weight is 155 lbs. I am a right handed Forward centre, wing also played defence. I feel my strengths are being an aggressive player, back check and forecheck, quick feet, skating speed, aggressiveness to the puck, ability to win puck battles, hard shot with a quick release.

I have played for St. Catharine Girls Brock Jr Badgers BB, A and AA and Denis Morris high school girls varsity. This Current season 2022 – 2023 I am playing for Stoney Creek Sabres A Head Coach Grant Ayres. Denis Morris high school varsity girl’s hockey Coach Lawrence Maney .I am a very athletic person. I believe in staying fit body and mind for the last three years I have been on Denis Morris honour roll, with an overall average of 85-90%.

February 1, 2023 To Whom It May Concern, This letter is a personal reference in support of Angelina De Divitiis. As one of the coaches for the Denis Morris High School Reds, I have known and worked with Angelina for the past 4 years. During these 4 years, Angelina has shown great leadership qualities on and off the ice. Angelina always came to practice early to get ready and she is always one of the last ones off the ice. She is a highly motivated hockey player who continuously wants to learn and improve on her already highly developed skills. Angelina is a positive influence in the changeroom, on the bench and on the ice, always motivating her teammates regardless of the team winning or losing. She builds their confidence and supports her teammates. While supporting her teammates during the game, Angelina simultaneously applies the coaching instructions given to her on the bench, during her play and in time-outs. She will take on a leadership role during her play and use her knowledge of the game to guide the others on the line and make herself a threat to the opposition. Her quick thinking, fast skating, “never give up” attitude and physical play makes her an integral part of the Denis Morris Hockey team. Angelina is always called upon to play during the high intense moments of power-plays, penalty-kills and in the end minutes of the game to score a goal or to keep a lead. Angelina makes a positive impact in all of these scenarios. As much as Angelina makes an impact on the ice and with her teammates, she also is involved in the greater community. Angelina volunteers with the Ultimate Edge Skating program where she works with children from the ages of 5-12. She helps these children develop their skating tachnique and skills. My endorsement for Angelina is sincere and without reservation. Angelina is one of those rare athletes that is so well-rounded on and off the ice.
