My name is Addison Bridgewater. I attend The Hill Academy in Caledon Ontario, Canada for the Hockey development program. I am also center on the U18AA Hamilton Hawks (#48). If you are looking for a three zone positionally sound defensive center that battles in the corners, is hard on the forecheck and backcheck, wins >70% of faceoffs, and excels on the penalty kill, and is coachable and a great listener, then I will be a good fit for your program. I also have great vision, puck distribution, and am the top defensive forward on my team with the top plus minus (+7). While I may not be a pure goal scorer, when I am on the ice not many goals are scored against us. I have a passion for competing and challenging myself and I am committed to reaching my goal of playing hockey at the highest level.
Academic wise, I attend the Hill Academy, a school for dedicated athletes. I maintain an 4.0 GPA (94% overall average) and have a 90% average and above in all my courses. I have been an honor roll student since 2018. I was the recipient of the Athlete of the Year award in grade 6-8 as well as the Most promising athlete award at Aldershot high school as a grade 9 student. My long-term goal is to become a student athlete in 2026 in the health sciences.
My hockey coaches say my game is built on speed, forecheck and backcheck, puck distribution, hockey sense, and say I am a three zone positional sound defensive center. I put my team first, am coachable, smart, a good listener, have an incredible work ethic. As a center, I win >70% of my face offs, many in key situations. I have the top plus/minus on my team, even with being on the penalty kill. I am also an Assistant captain because of my work ethic and because I lead by example. If you have any questions please reach out to my U18AA Hamilton, Coach Terry De Wilde ([email protected] ) or my Hill Academy hockey director Ryan Toomey ([email protected]) or coach John Siskos ([email protected])
Outside of Hockey I played 3rd base for the Rep U17 Oakville Angels fastpitch team. I have many championship medals and honors in baseball - most recently winning the 2023 provincial bronze medal. Mark Cataford ([email protected]) has been my fastpitch coach from 2016-2023. I also love to work-out, play Lacrosse, track and field, field hockey, and downhill ski.
My U18AA Team will be playing in the Waterloo showcase and I would love the opportunity for you to watch me play and discuss potential options.
