When I was younger, I was the stereotypical little sister, wanting to copy everything that my big sister did. One day, she came home and begged my parents to sign her up to play lacrosse. At the time, I knew very little about the sport but wanted to give it a try. That decision was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions of my life. Since then, I have grown to not only love the sport but appreciate how much it has shaped me as a person. I have learned how to be an athlete, a team player, how to communicate effectively, and how to be a leader. I love to be coached and thrive with constructive criticism from both my coaches and teammates. I am a hard worker on and off the field and constantly pause to reflect on what I need to do to become a better athlete, student, and person. When it comes to academics, I hold myself to a high standard and hope to find a college that supports the academic success of their student-athletes. In me, a college coach will find someone with integrity; someone who strives to improve; someone who works well with a team; someone who loves lacrosse; and someone who will represent their college as a leader on the field, in the classroom, and in the community through public service. It is a dream of mine to play at the collegiate level, not only because I have a driving passion to play lacrosse, but also because it will continue to sharpen my skills of leadership, communication, and teamwork.
