My love of lacrosse started in my very first game of lacrosse ever. I was in third grade, and my team was up, but that's not why I loved the game. I loved playing because it pushed me to be a better teammate and athlete. In that very first game we ended up losing 13-9, but I had gotten 8 out of my teams 9 goals, so I felt great about my contribution. This was the start I really needed to show myself that lacrosse was what I really loved to do. I continued playing for many teams after that first year, and each year I just got better and better, but the real turning point was when I started playing club lacrosse. This was when I realized I wanted to be a collegiate player. I was pushed to a new level in club lacrosse. This was the point in my lacrosse career when I told myself that I was committed to being the best player I could be for whatever team I was on in the future. Off the field I am also committed to being a great student. I am in all of the honors classes I can be in, and I have straight A's. My academics are just as important to me as my athletics are, and I will continue to be a great student throughout my high school years.
