I would like to play lacrosse in college because I enjoy being a lacrosse goalie. I have played lacrosse for six years, five of which I have played goalie, and four of which I have played for club teams. I am currently the varsity goalie for my high school team and constantly strive to better myself with the ambition of playing in college. Playing lacrosse has created many opportunities for me as far as friendships, being part of a team, learning to take direction and demonstrating leadership skills. Other benefits of playing lacrosse include keeping myself physically fit, motivating me to keep my grades up, helping me to set goals for myself and listening to the encouragement of teammates and coaches as I am challenged in the game. I have many qualities to offer as a member of a college lacrosse team, such as coachability, reliability, respect and commitment. Lacrosse is an awesome sport and I would love the opportunity to share my skills with a college lacrosse team.
