I have been playing lacrosse since I was in first grade. I’ve been committed to the sport for so long because not only is it fun but also because it has taught me to push myself to improve both on and off the field. Lacrosse has taught me to mange my time, take criticism, create relationships with my peers, and has taught me to be diligent and go after my goals. My high school team is full of amazing athletes that push me to work harder and truly earn my playing time. I’m insanely lucky to have a team that is more like a family. We support each other on and off the field. We care deeply about one another and only want to see each other succeed. Our close bond reflects on our playing, we play as a strong unit. I really hope to find that same experience with my college team, bond between the team is extremely important to me because I feel it is the key to success. I also have been playing club lacrosse for about 5 years. With the mix of towns and constant changing rosters for each tournament I have learned to adapt quickly and work with new people. My clubs team has given me the ability to travel to play outside of my state and play against different talent levels. My ability to adapt quickly and work well with others has helped me be successful within my club team, where it is very competitive and you are always working to earn your spot on the top team.
