Being able to start at the varsity level as a freshman has been the highlight of my high school career so far. During my freshman season, I grew as both a student-athlete and a teammate. I not only developed the grit it takes to compete in a highly competitive league, but I also learned the importance of acting as a team and getting to know your teammates both on and off the field. Having a whole team of mentors and friends who shared my passion for lacrosse made the lacrosse season my favorite part of high school, and I know that the sport is something I want to carry on into college.
Unfortunately, my sophomore season was cancelled due to COVID-19. However, the loss of my lacrosse season made me realize just how much I truly value lacrosse as a sport, a culture, and a network of support. I was able to turn my unhappiness into motivation, which has fueled me to improve my stickwork and footwork every day throughout quarantine. Watching last season's college games has been a big source of inspiration as well. I can't wait to bring my hard work and newfound motivation to the field as soon as possible, and I hope to carry that ethic into college lacrosse.
I am looking for a college program that is competitive both athletically and academically. As a consistent High Honor Roll student, my academics are a huge priority, and I want a program that will challenge me and provide me with a great quality of education. I believe I have what it takes to play and make an impact in college as an athlete and a student. Being a three season varsity athlete, I know what it means to commit, lead, and be a team player.
