My name is Jenna Flood. Lacrosse has made a huge difference in my life throughout the years of playing and has always been my safe haven. I have gone through a lot of issues whilst growing up that no child should go through, and playing lacrosse was always a way to make me feel more normal. Unfortunately, I had lost my family by the end of COVID-19 and I really struggled with staying afloat, My family were the people who always supported me the most so it was quite difficult not having them around anymore. I then learned then that I have to keep following my dreams and ambitions to make them proud. I grew up playing different sports but never felt the love for it. I was never able to play lacrosse because I have a skin condition called Ichthyosis Lamellar which used to make my body overheat quickly, so my family was worried if I were to play I would get hurt. When it came to being in Junior High, I knew much more about how to take care of my skin and the boundaries. I had signed up for the lacrosse team and I would practice every day until I became a better player for my teammates. I strive for greatness and my ambition to be a great team player and help my teammates is strong. I always try to be an uplifting player whether its being on the field or on the sidelines, I'm always making sure to cheer on my teammates. In my academics, I also strive for greatness and always try my hardest on studying and making sure I get good grades. One of my goals on top of playing college lacrosse, is working in the Astronomy or Aerospace Engineering field.
