I am academically strong, community helpful and a 3-sport varsity athlete -- lacrosse, soccer, and basketball. I started playing lacrosse in kindergarten with my town's youth program and have been playing year-round ever since. I am fast, sedulous, and coachable. I am a strong midfielder who is always ready for the ball whether it's when I am taking the draw, on the draw circle, or going for ground balls. I have strong stick skills with both hands. I played JV lacrosse in 8th grade and Varsity since my freshmen year. In 2020, I used my time off the field to improve my lacrosse IQ by successfully completing my youth officials and coaching certifications.
Outside of sports I volunteer in various community service projects. During COVID, from May - August, I volunteered at a local farm since they were understaffed and needed help maintaining the grounds and their livestock. As a Girl Scout since first grade, I have volunteered in many community services projects. I achieved my Bronze and Silver Awards, and I am currently working on my Gold Award. For My Girl Scout Silver Award project, which I earned the award on November 2019, I traveled to Dominican Republic to introduce the sport of lacrosse. After seeing that the sport was in its grassroots my mother, my sister and I formed Dominican Republic Lacrosse, Inc. (DomRepLax) a non-for-profit to grow the sport in the country. I am the VP and Co-Founder of DomRepLax! On August 31, 2020, and November 30, 2020, Dominican Republic Lacrosse became a member of both World Lacrosse and Pan-American Lacrosse Association, respectively, making Dominican Republic the 67th-member National Governing Body. I am excited to be traveling to Dominican Republic later this summer to meet with the person who handles all Social Projects in the National Palace as well as the Dominican Republic Olympic Committee!
I also enjoy drawing cartoons, baking, and listening to records on my record player! I will be an asset to your program because I bring the same passion, determination, and drive on the field as I do off the field!
