I wasn't introduced to lacrosse until 6th grade, but have loved it ever since. At first I would love to just run up and down the field, and try to compete against girls who had been playing for years. I decided that running up and down wasn't getting it done and so I practiced until the skill of throwing and catching with both of my hands were just as strong as each other. After only two years of hard work I made the Varsity Lacrosse team as an 8th grader. I started every game as a mid-fielder who specialized in defense. Then as a freshman I started to learn how to take the draw. During a Sectional play-off game our senior draw player was struggling and coach put me in for the draw. I was very successful and we won the game! I joined Cobra Kai Lacrosse, a high caliber club team ranked in the top 20 in the country for 2022's. There I have learned to compete against the best players in the country. I have worked on my footwork and strength (180lb max on squat) to make my self quicker and more explosive. I have played against the best girls in the nation and have held my own. I love the challenge of playing against the best. I enjoy being active and can rarely sit still, therefore I also play varsity volleyball (2 yrs two year starter). I also play varsity basketball (1 year starter). All the sports blend into each other, which at certain times in the year I am playing all three. I feel being involved and busy will and has help me to balance school, sports, family and social time. I follow many lacrosse teams and players and understand the commitment needed in college and feel I am already well prepared. I also take my work ethics into the classroom where I take all advanced courses and have an average of 98+. As a freshman and sophomore I received academic awards in Algebra and Global studies. Most recently I was nominated to the National Honor Society. My parents set standards, but I like to set my standards higher by being the best person in school and on the field.
