Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. My name is Ava Virga. I am a sophomore at Watertown High School. I will be a 2023 graduate. I have participated in the sport of lacrosse since the age of five years old, wanting to follow in my dad’s footsteps. I remember going to my older brother and sisters games as a toddler. I started for my Junior Varsity team as a goalie in seventh grade and started playing for my schools Varsity team in eighth. I currently play for Monster Elite Lacrosse and previously for Platform Lacrosse, Outlaw Ladies Lacrosse, Different Road Patriots, and the Akwasasne Ride lacrosse travel teams. I feel like I am a leader on the field and I enjoy watching all of my teammates succeed. I am dedicated to getting even better at the sport every day as well as motivating all of my teammates. I am a very persistent player. I take all honors classes and work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. My goals after High School are to attend a top university to further my education as well as exploring my limits as an athlete. I also intend on obtaining a post graduate degree in the field of my chosen studies. Outside of lacrosse, I participate in Martial Arts and I’m black belt eligible for Tae Kwon Do. I volunteer at my local SPCA shelter and also play for my High School soccer team. My goal after High School is to play lacrosse at a great college/university and get an outstanding education.
