I believe strongly in community and team. My parents have instilled the importance of giving back to others. I hope to help others by becoming a doctor. I recently traveled to Costa Rica for a service trip where I worked with young adults with special needs on a farm. My group assisted them with building structures and farming. Experiences such as these are invaluable. Lacrosse has provided me with an opportunity to do something I love. I have been fortunate to play on the same travel team for 5 years, building lasting friendships and memories. I have learned discipline and commitment through this sport, which has in turn helped me succeed in the classroom.
