My Character
I am usually the hardest working athlete on a team and take pride in my leadership and coachability. Much of this came at an early age and I believe my being in martial arts starting at age 4 and all my adolescence developed a value system based on discipline, hard work, respect and honor. I use my physical, mental and spiritual gifts to help and elevate those around me and take real pleasure in being part of a team in every setting.
Strong vision of my future - I wish to make a difference in my life and will study business and biology in hopes of eventually creating businesses that will enable scientists to research ways to create a clean, all life respecting, and most of all sustainable world. This is NOT a dream, this WILL happen.
Athletics
I come from an athletic family and athletics have always come easy. My first achievement was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at age 10 which took 6 years of hard work, I was proud to share that achievement with my mom and brother who also received their black belts at that time. I also do dance (ballet and modern), played basketball for my school teams and started club lacrosse in 5th grade as my school did not have lacrosse prior to that. Once in middle school I was a starting attack on the girls lacrosse team and continued on to be a starter on the high school varsity team as a freshman. I now use my long legs, speed and height as a middie for the top travel club in North Carolina (AFA Alpha Female Athletes) and my high school.
Scholastic Goals
I consider myself a strong student, I am currently caring a 4.33 GPA while attending primarily honors and AP courses my entire high school career. I am excited for my senior year coming up as I will be taking Calculus, AP Chemistry and an advanced Englisg writing and composition class TBD among other courses. My scholastic interests lie in the global environment and I am looking to pursue a double major in biology and business once I am in college. I am self-driven and take a lot of pride in my education and I am looking for a college that will support my major as well as encourage independent thinking. I hope that this vision will help me on my path to being an entrepreneur that will be able to make a substantial contribution to the environment in the world we live in.
