Hello, Coaches. My name is Lily Paulina Napierkowski, and I am a senior at the Community School of Davidson. I have played lacrosse since I was 13 years old. From the moment I started playing, I knew I found my passion. I started playing lacrosse on a whim; the women's coach needed a goalie, and I needed something to keep me busy. When I started playing for a club, that is when I knew how much I was going to have to work for it. I have always been the only goalie for my school team, so I have taken up many leadership roles. I have been captain of my team for two years, and, as captain, I take it upon myself to make my team feel like a family. I make it clear to my teammates that I am someone they can confide in and trust. While goalie has been the only position I've ever played, I want to be the best at what I do. This past year during the pandemic has been very hard for us all. My GPA may have suffered, but I made sure I was still training for the lacrosse season and growing as a better player and teammate.
