Maryland Lacrosse...Personal Statement
Throughout the years I've played lacrosse, I have had so many wonderful opportunities to grow and learn from the sport and all of the people involved. The experiences that I value the most are the ones that have forced me to work harder and left me with more insight on my ability to achieve my goals. Making Junior Varsity instead of Varsity my freshman year was one of the most impactful events during my time playing lacrosse. I knew that in order to make Varsity the next year I would have to improve in many areas as a person and as an athlete. I put in the work and not only was I a starter for my Varsity team the next year, but I also learned an incredible amount about my own limits and mental strength.
I moved into this area at the same time lacrosse was introduced to it and I have been lucky enough to be a part of these programs as they have grown. I have learned so much as a player, coach, and leader on a variety of teams and I am insanely grateful for the exposure to all aspects of the sport. I am very coachable and motivated and I have the ability to adapt to any environment I am placed in. I would like to find a program that will fit me academically, athletically, and personally. I am eager to continue to learn and grow as a player and I know I will make a very positive impact on your team.
