Hello my name is Isabel Szejk (Zek) and I am a sophmore at Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School in Mechanicsburg, PA.
As a student I am very involved at my the school and serve on our THON Committee and student council. I am an Honor Roll student and have a 3.7 GPA. I also took part in helping out with the special needs program at our school by being a buddy at Special Olympics. I find great satisfaction serving and helping others be the best they can be. I am currently the coach for the Mechanicsburg youth lacrosse ages kindergarten-2nd grade. I enjoy teaching and growing the sport I love.
As an athlete I play on my high school’s lacrosse and golf team. This is my third year playing club lacrosse, I recently joined a new club team which is out of Lancaster, Xtreme. I have played for both Blackdog Lacrosse, and Team Money Lacrosse in the past.
I am an all around player with quickness and grit. I mainly play attack or mid- field, although my coaches utilize me at all positions, making good use of my versatility. I will play anywhere. I think my coaches would say that I am a coachable player who makes good things happen on the field. I am always looking to improve my game. I find my strength in setting up plays and winning battles to regain ball-possession. I also create opportunities for my team whether it is making good passes or creating space forcing the defense to spread. I am defensively sound and can score goals.
My future lacrosse goals are to play college lacrosse. I achieved my goal freshman year as starting varsity but this year I want to keep my hard work up and grow as a player through every season. Another goal of mine is to become a stronger and faster player, to achieve this I am currently training everyday to the best of my ability. I have been doing Power Train for my strength training, I also train with a private coach to work on my skills as well as my team practices.
Thank you for reading.
Stay tuned for updates.
