Soccer has been an important part of my life since I began playing eight years ago and it has helped shape me into the person I am today.
Both on and off the field, I strive for excellence. On the field, I have been able to captain my club team to a top 5 ranking and although I don't play in ECNL, my club team consistently competes at a high level in ERL, EDP and in the top brackets at top tournaments where we routinely beat ECNL teams. In addition, my team will be taking part in the US National League next year as we won our ERL league this season. Off the field, I am an academically strong student and was recognized by my teachers last year as one of two students who received a prestigious citizenship award recognizing students who are strong academically yet exemplify the five pillars of citizenship - respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
Despite these achievements, I do not stop working. I continue to work very hard everyday to improve my position to have options to play soccer in college at the highest level. This drive includes extra one-on-one technical, strength, speed and agility training, taking the highest level classes and participating in extracurricular activities such as chorus, student council, mission trips and mini-thon.
I know I can definitely make an impact on any team by working hard and being a positive role model to others. I'm willing to do everything it takes to make myself and any team better!
