Ella Hendricks '25 Recruiting Profile

I’m a senior and class of 2025 Open Weight, in my 7th year of rowing. I started rowing in middle school at Holyoke Rows, led by Stephanie Moore. In 2022, I made the move to join Northampton Community Rowing, where I’m a captain of the varsity team.

Rowing has always offered me a sense of community, both within my team and among the various groups I've had the pleasure of getting to know while sharing the river. I view rowing as an outlet to express my outgoing personality, motivate myself, and inspire others. I love crew because it offers both challenges and tranquility. As a captain, I lead by example, working hard and striving to get stronger and faster while also taking pride in my achievements and ongoing progress. I also want to show more people in my community, especially people of color, that we can compete at the highest levels in the sport.

I'm excited to continue rowing in college, and I hope to find teammates and coaches who will challenge me to perform at my best as a student-athlete.
