Maya Ferrer '19 Recruiting Profile

I have tried many different sports as I searched for one that would motivate me, and one that I would excel in. I wanted a team I could grow with and not just compete against. I wanted a family. I found all of this as soon as I started rowing. This is what was missing from any other sport I played, and why rowing is more than just a sport to me. Rowing has taught me disciplinary skills, motivational skills and leadership skills. Rowing has allowed me to learn about myself. I am eager to bring these skills to college and I continue to develop them even more.

Academically, I have worked hard to maintain my grades throughout high school, and this year I spend most of my time working on school work and attending practice. I am looking for a school that will be a good fit for me academically and allow me to continue my rowing. I believe that I have the skills and potential to advance and succeed on a collegiate level team!
