Mary Fleming '20 Recruiting Profile

I'm not shy when it comes to competition. I'm a very competitive athlete, and I strive to improve every day. My goal for high school is to get good grades and put 100% into everything I do in rowing. I work as hard as I can to better my technique and erg scores. I try to PR on erg tests as much as possible. I also try to bring positivity and confidence to my team. If we have a bad race or a hard practice I always stress that we need each other and the most important thing is to remember there's always going to be another race and another practice to improve. I value the team aspect of rowing above all else, and I am a member, and leader, of my team.

I fell in love with the sport that gives me goals, confidence, and balance in my life. My biggest goal is to become a college student-athlete and continue developing these strengths as a collegiate rower!
