To me, being a team player is just as important as being an individual competitor. Treating my boatmates and my coaches with respect is something I always aim to do. I want to represent a college and give my all for it everyday. I am hungry for opportunities to improve, and I want to find a program that will help me grow not only as a rower but also as a person. My rigorous work ethic compels me to push myself to get stronger and faster, and that is something I take pride in. I play hard and it reflects in my mental toughness. I am a versatile athlete that enjoys sweeping as well as sculling, and I also enjoy pushing myself in the weight room. I have a holistic approach in life, and college athletics will help me maintain my balance of mind, body, and spirit. Athletics have always been a part of my life, so continuing them in college would be the culmination of all my hard work.
