Personal Statement

I have been known to be determined, competitive and hardworking which helps me succeed in athletics. I participate in many other sports that help me succeed in rowing both in fitness and mindset. Participating in soccer, basketball, volleyball, skiing and long distance running have helped me build strong endurance, which is important for rowing. With my dedication and determination, I believe I would be a perfect candidate for your school. My skills in other sports and personality traits that push me to be my best are what makes me different than other recruits. I have always dreamed about excelling in athletics at the post secondary level. I would like to pursue rowing at the national level and represent my country. I believe that it’s possible and rowing in the NCAA is the best mix of competition, training and academics.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
