Ayla Kanow '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ayla Kanow, and I am from Telluride Colorado. My entire life I have been a passionate student-athlete and I strongly believe I can bring this to your school. I have been playing soccer for my entire life, and it is the sport that brings me the most joy.  I am committed to putting in as much work as it takes to be the best athlete I can become. I am coachable and open-minded on and off the field. I have played varsity soccer since I was a freshman and play on my club team, high school team, and the Colorado Select Team. I am a good communicator which allows me to connect with others on a deeper level, and I love working with others. In my future, I aspire to play soccer in college and study pre-med. Later, I want to go to med school and become a surgeon. I want this lifestyle since I think it is important to give back and help others. I am comfortable stepping out of my comfort zone, and I am tuned in to other people and always willing to give support to my teammates and peers.  What makes me a good candidate for your team and school is that I am tough and will never give up. I am a hard worker, a passionate student, and a very dedicated athlete. I make sure that I put 100% of my effort into everything I do. I have started an environmental tree-planting non-profit, I have raised thousands of dollars for Juvenile Diabetes Research by riding my bike in century rides, and I am an active leader in my community, and I participate in several clubs including High School Democrats of America. I bring a positive attitude towards everything. Lastly, I am not shy to rise to any occasion and deal with hardships that get in my way. Thank you for your consideration.
