Jenna Domenech '21 Recruiting Profile

My love for soccer started in the second grade. One day during recess I saw a bunch of kids playing, I asked if I could join. That afternoon when I went home I immediately asked my parents to sign me up for soccer. So I tried out for the club team. It was a three day tryout. I remember when my mom got the phone call saying that I made the team. From there on, I grew so much love for the sport. I continued playing club for the next 8 years as well as being captain of the team for 6 of the years. Then when I got to high school I joined high school soccer. I’ve been on varsity since freshman year. Growing up I always played sweeper, but when I got to high school, I moved to right winger. I’m happy that this transition happened because I feel that winger is truly where I play best. Every game I always learn something new. I am a very competitive person. I’m always open to new things and always have an open mindset. I walk into every game with my head held high and knowing what me and my team are capable of. I am a very loud person on and off the field. There will never be a game that goes by that you don’t hear me. I’ve always had a leadership role with every team I’ve been on. I’m not afraid to speak up. I’m not a shy person. Every attack I go into I go 150%, and I have the same mindset for school. Freshman year of high school I did struggle quite a bit. I had a lot of problems at home so I didn’t have the right mindset at school. I went from not showing up to school and having bad grades to now being on the honor roll with straight A’s, being active in more than 3 clubs, and also doing track. My dream is to play college soccer, along with getting a degree in business management. I am really open to any college, big or small, doesn’t matter the location, as long as I’m furthering my academic career and playing the sport that I love with a team I can grow with.
