My name is Tori Pietuszka class of 2021Presently, I am #23, Captain and center back for Sporting Delaware (formerly 2003 Delaware Football Club (DEFC). Next Year I will be Tori Pietuszka College Athlete, Outside Back.
I am a versatile player and leader. I have enjoyed playing with my current club team and high school team for the past 4 years. I have been both appointed and voted captain by my peers since my club team formed in 2016. Both teams have enjoyed a lot of success and firsts together. Delaware FC achieved #1 ranking on Gotsoccer.com and competed in National Finals in Colorado in 2018. This year we qualified for the National League and have an exciting season of Showcases and games. My High School advanced to the state semi finals last season, only the second time in the school's history!
This season I look forward to the continuation of skill development offensively, defensively and technically. I am a versatile player and I am interested in opportunities that may include moving outside of center back. I believe my speed , recovery, passing and read of the game would make me an asset in any defensive position.
I have several highlight clips from last years season. These can be found on Youtube under Tori Pietuszka. I will be adding to the existing clips as the season gets under way.
To tell you a little more about myself I am a member of the National Honor Society, taking both core and honors courses with a business concentration. When my soccer schedule permits I volunteer with Special Olympics, Tim Tebow Foundation and special needs students at my school through corollary sports and the Buddy club. I was nominated to represent Rising Sun High School on the Cecil County Student Athlete Leadership Council, which is a branch of the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association.
My Team also has a some great news. We have a new coach for the season . His Name is Ian Hennessy ~ If you recognize it that would be because he is the University of Delaware's Men's D1 Coach!!! We are crazy excited to learn from a Coach with an amazing professional soccer career ! We are also lucky enough to have Dan Frick - Goldey Beacom's Head Woman oach
